It was Theodore High school and when they built the new high school they moved the middle from st.Elmo middle and made it a head start and made Hankins Middle its went down hill every sense then .
This school is the best! It has great teachers and the school has improved tremendously. I like how the uniform policy is always kept under control, and no teacher there or the principal slacks on the rules. They even have administrators checking on the buses personally when there is a problem and all this thanks goes to Mr.Diaz (the principle) and all the administrators (sorry I don't know how to spell there names) and of course to all my teachers I have ever had. So if there's any middle school you won't to go to I would choose this one.
Really good school even tho theres a lot of drama
This is the worst, trashiest school you can even imagine. The teachers are worse than the students. Absolutely no signs of professionalism anywhere. I went here for three years and had to deal with this nasty school. When I was being bullied in 8th grade, teachers refused to do anything about it for the entire year because the girls being bullies were all on the sports teams, and god forbid anything gets in the way of the only thing this school thinks it can redeem itself with. When a friend sticking up for me was in a fight with said girls, still nothing was done and we were labeled as the problem. Sending your child here is quite possibly the worst choice you can make. Not to mention, the trashy area around it.
Hankins is a good school and I recommend for parents to send there child here. The teachers are very helpful and caring and and teach you everything you need to know.
